I have just read the recent minutes regarding cheque payments and I feel I must raise an issue. The minutes state that the cheque didn't clear which infers that it "bounced". However the cheque did not bounce. The fact is I gave it in at the shop well in advance like I have many times before, in an envelope clearly marked on the front with the contents, it then went  missing which  is obviously a failure in the system somewhere. I'm only thankful I didn't pay by cash and I fail to see how the proposed new requirement will prevent this happening again. In future I shall pay cash on the day as some other members do and if you want payment in advance then I will be willing to pay by electronic transfer if you furnish me with the required information.

Hi Brian

I will make sure your comments are considered at the meeting.

I think that 2012 has been a really good year for the society. Although the numbers of members has decreased slightly those members who have maintainted their membership have nearly all participated in competitions and attended the away days.

I would like to thank: Paul for the great job he has done as secretary, Gaynor for dealing with the complications of organising all the away days, Lynda for keeping track of money out and money in especially when members over pay and under pay in competitions,Ingrid for the splendid job of dealing with the management of the Leisure centre and other duties which most of us don't hear about. My thanks also goes to the other members of the committee, Pete who organises the raffle for the presentation day and who usually entertains as a singer or a lady guest. Don who organises the away day card where we all have a chance to win a little bit back for as little as £1.00 and more recently Keith for the dificulties as competition secretary and John who has organised a society holiday for 2013( and that has not been straight forward).

Just a reminder for those players competing in a Match Play competition. The committee would like everyone to complete the round and fill in their competition cards accordingly to enable a fair handicap adjustment to be made.

I will be addressing the players who are attending the next away day at Whetstone as to the benefit of completing their competition cards correctly.

10.12am Wigston Rain pouring down and blowing a gale. It looks like the decision to cancel the away day was a good one. Thanks Gaynor for the early morning call!

Hi John,

Unfortunately I do not have any control over the size or positioning of the 'Sign Out' facility. So you'll have to return to the Home Page each time. Perhaps a stronger set of lenses in your reading glasses might address the size issue! Best wishes, Paul.

I have always had difficulty in siging out of this website.  Now I see there is a 'sign-out' drop down on the home page.  Could we have this drop down on the other pages too please, and perhaps a bit larger too?
